Scrum Master Training
2 Days of Theory,
with Optional Certification Exam
Yesterday, I conducted a “Scrum Master Training PSM I” as a cooperation partner, commissioned by NEW WORK SOLUTIONS GmbH and Agilizer Academy. The training includes knowledge transfer, hands-on work with real-life Agile challenges, and dedicated exam preparation. Participants can take the exam on-site and receive their certification immediately—or, in the rare case of not passing (though it hasn’t happened yet), we reflect on questions together.
Theory on Agile Values, Roles, and Scrum Master Responsibilities Are Important—But Not Everything
Our schedule was packed, but we also had time for a short Agile working game: HR Pioneers’ “Calculator” exercise. The team has two minutes to complete a task, followed by a one-minute reflection and planning phase to decide on collaboration improvements. This cycle repeats three times.
Learning by Doing for Practical Knowledge
Afterward, we reflect as a team. Learning with others provides the highest level of competence and helps participants transfer skills to their daily work.
Agile, Adaptive, Feedback-Based Work in Fast Forward
This time-compressed exercise makes Agile values tangible: transparency, openness, focus, and the distinction between retrospective (how do we work together?) and planning (what do we do next?). This distinction between working *on* the system and working *within* the system is key.
What Value Does Scrum’s Structured, Reliable Process Add to Product Development?
Scrum’s framework helps teams regularly reassess whether they’re still on the right track, even under time pressure. It leads to better results, more value in the product, and greater structure: measurable improvement and enjoyment at work are not contradictions—in fact, they go hand in hand!
